My own journey living far from home taught me the true challenges of adapting to a new country. Due to this experience, I can connect with you on a deeper emotional level and better support you through your own process.

Understanding the emotional problems immigrants face when moving to a new country

Starting over in a new country often involves an internal struggle between adapting and longing for what’s familiar.

Cultural challenges, the lack of a family support network, and the difficulty of rebuilding friendships—combined with language barriers—can lead to a persistent feeling of loneliness and emptiness. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed by culture shock when moving to a new country or to experience identity crises during this stage.

As a migrant, I have personally experienced these challenges, and that experience allows me to connect emotionally with my patients and empathize with their journey. My goal is to offer you a safe space in therapy where your concerns are validated with genuine understanding and absolute respect for your culture and current situation.

Therapy available in English, Spanish, and Romanian.

Speaking in your native language makes it easier to express emotions clearly, without fear of misunderstandings. Our minds are fascinating, and research shows that personality change when speaking another language can occur. This shift profoundly changes the way we feel and how we connect with the world.

Using your mother tongue fosters an authentic connection and creates a safe space to explore your experiences, making therapy more effective and meaningful.
